Many highly successful people use as many networking opportunities as possible to grow their businesses.  There are groups of people meeting all over the place that contain people who will be interested in what you have to offer, also when you get in front of these people and they cannot get away from you, you will have enough time to educate them to exactly what you offer etc.
 
You are an expert in what you do and you probably know more about your products or services than the average man in the street.   There are people out there who will be interested in sitting and listening to what you have to say.
 
If you can get an audience of people who you can talk to about exactly what you do in the form of a short presentation and inform them about your industry and products it is a great marketing opportunity and you can also use it as an opportunity to hand out your leaflets and literature etc.
 
It may take you a couple of hours to prepare for it but it would be more than profitable and if your presentation goes well you should look around to find other groups of people to talk to.
 
Business networking events are great for meeting local business owners who could possibly be potential Joint Venture Partners and if you can get some JVP’s this will have a massive impact on the amount of new customers that you can get.  If you have a list of happy customers and you meet another business owner who also has a list of the same type of happy customers you both have massive opportunity to do business.
 
There are also a lot of new local networking websites springing up that are a great place for you to talk to other local business people and these are also a great place to tell your community about what you do.
