Tips on finding the perfect foundation

by admin on July 15, 2010

Sam Fine, the man behind some the biggest stars in show business – Iman (who was recently the winner of the fashion icon award at the Council of Fashion Designers of America awards), Tyra Banks and Queen Latifa has shared some of his top tips on how to work with darker skin tones.

He told Make up school students working with darker complexions that they should not be afraid of having to use two different bands or formulas, “because that’s what makeup artist do”.

Mr Fine went on to say that, essentially, it is all about trial and error but recommenced some top products to help make your subjects’ skin more glowing, in the form of primer and silicone.

He told Make up school students to keep their eye out for any product with silicone in, saying: “It adds a great dry-down and makes it less oily for a lighter effect, but this isn’t something for women with mature skin or if you’re oily in different areas.”

Finally, he told Make up school students that they have to do their research and find out what stars like Iman and Mo’Nique are wearing before considering which brand you’re going to go for.
