Since she broke on to the music scene in 2005, Rihanna has become one of the most iconic females in the modern day, and the woman behind the star’s show-stopping looks has revealed her top tips to www.lond-est.com Make up school.

Karin Darnell, speaking to Elle, suggested Iman’s foundations for darker skin tones and told www.lond-est.com Make up school not to combat oily complexions with powder but to use a tissue to soak up the extra moisture.

She also recommended using two foundation shades and insisted that it should always be applied with the fingers, with the key word being to blend.

“To avoid your complexion looking too flat, use a foundation a shade lighter than your skin tone to add highlights to your cheekbones, nose and brow bones. One shade will just blank you out,” she said.

Ms Darnell also added that the smoky eye does not have to be black, but can be a wash of colour, think Rihanna’s Rude Boy video.
