Considering taking intensive makeup courses?
Have a look at how the celebrities use cosmetics to best effect for inspiration.
Rachel Weisz’ look is the perfect example of the kind of makeup to use on dark haired and pale skinned women.
Kate Melhuish, writing for the Daily Mail, said that this combination of hair and skin colour makes for “a striking look that suits a strong eye shadow palette and lip colour, but not at the same time”.
She recommended using an eyebrow pencil to emphasise strong brows, as this helps to frame the face.
This is the base from which you can “go to town with smoky eye shadow looks”, as Rachel Weisz does to perfection.
Ms Melhuish also suggested using a highlighter to bring out the cheekbones and the arch of the eyebrows.
A neutral lip colour should be used to balance the makeup.
If you’re one of those people considering taking intensive makeup courses then you’ll probably have noticed that this was the look that Rachel Weisz went for at this year’s Met Costume Institute Gala.
