Holistic Treatments

Holistic treatments are designed on the theory that the body has a vital life or energy force and when this falls out of balance, the body becomes more susceptible to disease. The aim of holistic treatments is to reinstate the balance of this vital life force and encourage natural healing of the body.

The word holistic is derived from the Greek word holos which means whole.  The holistic view on health and welfare is different from the conventional medical view as conventional medicine normally focuses on the symptom or problem part of the body while the holistic approach takes into account the whole person. Holistic treatments treat not only the physical symptoms but also the emotional, psychological, environmental and nutritional issues and the effects that these have on the whole person.

Below is a list and brief explanation of some of the most popular types of holistic treatments:-

The increase in circulation, and the relaxation of the muscles caused by this massage, can help on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. A hot stone massage will make you feel relaxed and revitalized.
